  10. 3D Studio is modular as hell; it has the 3D Editor, Lofter, Keyframer,
  11. 2D Shaper, Materials Editor and I don't remember what else...

  13. LW has only two editors; the Modeler and Layout.  Layout is the surfaces
  14. and keyframe editor.  Layout merges materials and keyframer;  Modeler
  15. contains 2D shaper, 3D Editor.  I have no idea what the hell Lofter
  16. is for, so I would not know where its equivalent in LW is...

  18. I would say that Layout and Keyframer are quite similar and knowing one 
  19. would help you
  20.  grasp the other, but as I have been struggling like mad to keep from
  21. having to use 3D Studio, I can't give you any more comparative detail...
